Age of Empires Collectable Card Game

I found a local retailer who is carrying the Age of Empires Collectable Card Game and bought two starter decks and a few booster packs. We spent a few hours this weekend learning the game. Here are some of our first impressions.

After playing only a few games, a few strategy tips have become clear. Also, it is clear that bookkeeping is a big part of this game. Here are some of our second impressions.

Faithful to the computer game, each player plays a civilization. Each civilization has its own strengths and weaknesses, which are fairly well represented in the card game. As of the time of this writing, only five civilizations are available: Britons, Celts, Goths, Mongols and Persians.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info online about this game yet. Journeyman Press, the maker of the game, has some info online of course. gamers.com is about the only other resource I have found so far.
