Robert on the self-describing nature of XML:

This actually dates back to the CBS MarketWatch days, which would put it somewhere in '00, but it was passed on to me today.

Brent just mentioned once again that XML and XSL and SOAP are cool because they're self describing. Every time I hear that, I think:
"I'm a 32k recordset that likes sunsets and walks on the beach. I'm in binary format, but open to ascii relationships. No flat files or proprietary formats please."
